Restore TFC is a licensed child placing agency through the Virginia Department of Social Services, servicing foster care youth from birth to age 17. In addition to providing supportive families for foster children, restore TFC is dedicated to supporting and guiding parents along their foster care journey. Restore TFC works hard to create a community where relationships can be built between children, foster parents, and biological parents that will enable those children to thrive in their new environment.

In addition to trauma-informed techniques, case management expertise, and academic credentials, Restore TFC’s philosophy and practices are shaped around the experiences of foster parents. Informed by a deep understanding of what foster parents experience, and how they make the largest impact in a child’s life, Restore TFC provides care and guidance to parents as they navigate incorporating a child into their home and being a vital part of their healing and growth.

The founders, Kebrah and Christian Jefferson began their parenting journey in 2017 by fostering a teenager. They have since adopted two boys through foster care and have led several faith-based initiatives. These initiatives focused on foster care advocacy, educating prospective foster parents, and providing Christmas toys for children in care. Those experiences and initiatives helped shape their desires to be more involved in the foster care community and lead to the launch of this agency.
